Indianes els Patrons de Vilumara

“Indianes - the Patterns of Vilumara” mural refers to a history of Catalunya. A creation of Indianes textiles produced at the end of XVIII centry in Barcelona. Vilumara factory was one of those places where new stamping technique was used. It is a special work for me since now I am painting in the same space alongside my friend Francesc Artigau, where Indianes were once made. And that is precisely what this painting is about. It explains the history of creative work, the transfer of knowledge and collaborative creation based on experience.

A special atmosphere permeates the Vilumara factory, the studio of Francesc, who shares his extensive knowledge and passion with me. It is a place where we create new paintings. I felt the lines of time intertwine, creating a new pattern..
